How do you play the Risk Analysis Simulator?

Use the 'A' key to toggle Analysis Mode to see risk probabilities. Click squares to investigate them. Numbers on squares indicate risks in the 8 surrounding cells. Use the 'M' key or right-click to mitigate (flag) suspected risks.

How does scoring work in the game?

You earn +10 points for each safe square investigated and +100 points for each Asset secured. Incorrect mitigations result in a -50 point penalty at the end. There is also a time penalty of -1 point per second.

How to Play

Objective:

Your goal is to identify all Risks (⚠️) on the board without triggering any. Secure valuable Assets (💰) and achieve the highest possible score by making calculated decisions.

Gameplay:

Investigate (Click / Enter): Select a square to investigate it.
Numbers: A number on a square indicates the exact number of risks in the 8 squares immediately surrounding it.
Mitigate (Right-Click / Key 'M'): If you believe a square contains a risk, mark it with a shield (🛡️) to mitigate it. This prevents you from accidentally clicking it.
Analysis Mode (Key 'A'): Toggles probability display On/Off. This shows the estimated risk percentage in the currently focused/hovered cell.
Assets (💰): These are high-value squares. Uncovering them provides a significant score bonus. They are never risks.

Keyboard Controls:

A key: Toggle Analysis Mode On/Off.
Arrow Keys: Move focus between grid cells.
Enter / Space: Investigate the focused cell.
M key: Mitigate/Flag the focused cell.

Scoring:

+10 points for each safe square you investigate.
+100 points for each Asset you secure.
-50 points for each incorrectly placed mitigation at the end of a successful game.
-1 point for every second taken (time penalty).
